Did Pastor Mark beleive in the pretib rapture while he was an adventist or did he pick up the teaching after he joined up with chucks crew? The doctrine of a secret rapture was first conceived by John Nelson Darby of the Plymouth Brethren in 1827. Darby, known as the father of dispensationalism, invented the doctrine claiming there were not one, but two "second comings." This teaching was immediately challenged as unbiblical by other members of the Brethren. Samuel P. Tregelles, a noted biblical scholar, rejected Darby's new interpretation as the "height of speculative nonsense." So tenuous was Darby's rapture theory that he had lingering doubts about it as late as 1843, and possibly 1845. Another member of the Plymouth Brethren, B.W. Newton, disputed Darby's new doctrine claiming such a conclusion was only possible if one declared certain passages to be "renounced as not properly ours." Sandeen writes, "this is precisely what Darby was prepared to do. Snowden and others traced the rise of modern premillennialism to a variety of religious splinter groups: the Plymouth Brethren (developed dispensationalism), the Millerites (became the Adventists), Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Pentecostals. Dispensational premillennialism was marketed the same way as the cultic groups. First, historic Christianity was discredited by the claim that all the prominent commentaries, all the church fathers, and even the Reformers were deluded by "man-made doctrines." Second, new revelation was claimed. Darby claimed to have received "new truth" or at other times "rediscovered truth" that had been lost since the apostles. Third, enthusiasm was whipped up on the pretense that Christ's coming was imminent. Frequent false predictions did not seem to deter this enthusiasm. I humbly ask, Please respond
The Bible says "the dead in Christ shall rise first". How can they rise if they are already in Heaven and return with the Lord at his coming?
Will backsliding Christians be raptured too or will they be left behind to face the tribulation?
Will believers go through the tribulation period, or will they be raptured before as the popular Left Behind series suggests? I can't find any scriptures to back up the thought that we will be raptured first. Thank you!
When the rapture happens do we see Jesus coming for us or are we just "poof" instantly in paradise?
I am confused about when we die do we go directly to God and if so why does it say that when he returns first he raises the people up that had already died before he takes the believers that are still living?
If we die before the rapture, do we go to heaven immediately?
I recently heard a conservative preacher say that at the rapture, not all born-again Christians will go - only those who are watching. Is this true?
When the rapture comes and God begins to unleash his wrath on earth, will people still be able to repent from their sins and accept Jesus as their savior or will it be too late?
Is the son of perdition and the anti-christ the same entity? Doesn't 2 Thessalonians 2 state that "The coming of our Lord Jesus and gathering together to him..... will by no means happen until the son of perdition is revealed first?
If the church is raptured before the tribulation then who will teach the people left on earth about Jesus and how to be saved?
What does the Bible and Calvary say about organ donorship? I want to become one, but am not sure if it is okay with our Lord.
As Christians, should we look forward to the rapture, or should our desires be to stay here on earth with our family?
Preterism, what is this teaching that the pre-trib research center website briefly mentions as a critique of Hank Hannegraaff? Is this term a valid 'new' belief today?

Do you believe that people who repent and accept Jesus will be saved during the tribulation period? If so, is that only for the 144,000.
Do you think that we are very close to Christ's second coming because it seems that everything is leading up to it quickly?
I read in Matthew 27:52-53 that many holy people (saints?) rose from their graves when Jesus died on the cross, and when Jesus rose from the grave these saints showed themselves to people, and then when Jesus ascended they also ascended. Please tell me if I am correct that the Old Testament saints have already risen, then Jesus will come and those saints will be with him, and then Jesus will raise the New Testament saints from their graves, and also rapture the saints still living.thank you.
I am currently reading Tim LaHaye's book - Rapture Unveiled, and I was curious how Calvary feels about his writing and if it is on track or not. I don't want to be mislead in any way.
At the end of the millenium will the people saved and living be given their celestial bodies without dying like at the pre-trib rapture?
I was talking to a friend at work and she was asking about the end times. She is not a Christian but I don't know how to really explain the end times and what will happen. I don't want to scare her but I want her to believe. Can you please give me as much information as you can on the rapture?
Since the 144,000 Jewish men from Revelations will not have been raptured (because they were not believers at the time of the rapture), will God "personally" come to them and teach them the Gospel so they may be sealed and spread the word?
Describe what will be happening during the millenium. Will there be any unsaved people there? My mother in law recentely heard some teaching that has her questioning what she had always though to be true about this and she is very concerned about the answer. Thanks
I'm having trouble with ,,resurrection. GRK. WORD MEANING TO "STAND , OR RISE UP". REGARDING MATT.27:52 , 53. NOW AT DANIEL 12:1 - 3 LOOKS TO ME THAT THE O.T. PEOPLE WHO " SLEEP IN THE DUST OF THE EARTH SHALL AWAKE,SOME TO EVERLASTING LIFE,SOME TO SHAME." MEANS THAT THEY SIMPLY DIED PHSICALLY ALONG WITH SOUL/SPIRIT..... TO BE JOINED ALTOGETHER AT MATT.27?? OR AT TIME OF PHYSICAL DEATH ,DID O.T. PEOPLE MERELY DIE PHSICALLY AND BECOME "RESURRECTED "WITH WITH SOUL / SPIRIT AT THE TIME OF MATT.27 . I GUESS WHAT I'M TRYING TO GET AT IS ,O.T. PEOPLE AT DEATH ,WHERE WERE THEY UP TO MATT. 27 ???
It's my understanding that the Christian soul, or spirit, goes to be with the Lord upon death. Matt.28: 52,53. But , 1 Thess. confuses me. At 4:14 , it says "God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus." (Not already with with Him?) At 4:16 ---And the dead in Christ will RISE FIRST,( not with the Lord upon death ?) 4:15--We who are alive and remain until His coming will by no means precede those who are asleep . ( still dead? ) 4:17--Alive and remain shall be caught up TOGETHER WITH THEM .. HELP ? and thanks
Could you explain Rev. 10:7, I have a friend that believes this verse proves that the church will not be raptured until this point as the 7th angel ends the mystery of God. We will not be raptured until the first 3-1/2 years of tribulation.
I'm confused about the graves cracking open. If our loved ones with Christs love are already with him in heaven, then during the rapture why are they rising again from their graves & going with us? Thank you for your time
My husband and I have been studying about the Rapture of the church. What happens to the children of believers at that time? We haven't found anything in the Scripture about it, unless we missed something.
I am studying Daniel and using J Vernon Mcgee as a reference. He says the Old Testament saints will not rise with us at the rapture; Is this true and Why?
I'm sure you have heard of the Swine Flu that is hitting America and other major countries. In the Bible, it says that the first of the seven seals is a plague that will hit the world. Is that what is happening now? Is this the end? Or does the rapture have to happen first?
